A Private Entity Supporting Pakistan's Semiconductor EcosystemThe Watan Semiconductor Network (WSN) is a private entity, established with the support of the Pakistan local ecosystem which includes faculty, students, and Industrial experts. We are promoting the project with the goal of strengthening Pakistan's competitiveness in the semiconductor world, which has a weak industrial base, by producing excellent design manpower through support and education for participating professors at universities across the country.
WSN Strategy:
- Providing an environment and hands-on opportunities for local manpower to design chips.
- Establishing lab centers in local universities by supporting the latest EDA tools.
- Updating the Engineering and Computing curriculum in line with the evolving demand of indigenous capabilities of chip development.
- Establishing systematic and diversified information networks for rapid information acquisition in semiconductor domains.
- Encouraging the development of patents and IPs that give high-level value creation opportunities.
